Leafy Chocolate Baroque Zentangle Group Challenge

The Chocolate Baroque Zentangle Group's June Challenge (Number 15) is based upon a theme: a leaf or leaves should appear somewhere on the tile or ZIA.

I actually took a leaf from our garden & drew it freehand inside a square border before tangling & colouring.

tangles: Barberpole, Nzepple
Tombow Markers outline watercolour blending & indirect Blender Pen colouring on
Daler-Rowney Langton 300gsm Hot Pressed Extra Smooth watercolour paper

I can see I did miss a post Paula, my apologies.

The leaves within the lack tangling on the post below look superb and the rich autumnal leaves here equally so. The use of red for the border really draws the eye and how clever of you to draw them freehand.

Have a good weekend.

Nzeppel is one of my favourite tangles and it has worked so well on this leaf. The border just pulls it all together nicely.

There's a lot of depth to this composition, with your use of one point perspective in your design. This would be a marvelous piece to use in note card prints. Blessings!

Hello dear Paula,

Love your Zentangle again!
So much depth and I almost feel the soft curviness of the leaves! The little bit of red in the frame is the perfect complement in my opinion ;-)

Thank You!

Hi Paula, this is so clever! I love the way you've drawn the leaf and the tangling gives the leaves so much dimension.
