I had some very old papers with a rather large floral looking design which I thought might work as a framework for tangling. I outlined some areas of the pattern until I had what looked like a very large flower & then tangled the petals using a selection of tangles from Suzanne McNeill's book Zentangle 3 plus Cubine from Zentangle Basics. The resulting artwork was then mounted onto black cardstock & a scalloped edge card blank. The inside is simply decorated using die-cut elements from Spellbinders Shapeabilities Lace Doily Motifs & Accents.

Hi Paula, keyboard playing up so please forgive any errors! Just love the floral design with tangled petals, very effective with the subtle background and off the page image. Also impressed by your choice of tangles, barbers pole looks so organic - which surprised me, always thought of it as being industrial.

I am pleased that you're getting your migraines back under control - you have my sympathy as I get them from time to time, and there's nothing worse.
Anyhoo - I love, love these flowers and am totally in awe of your tangling! I'm going to a couple of classes in May (big show here) to have a go. I think my favourite is the second card - love the patterns in this one!

Caught " red handed" eh Paula. I think my hubby has given up on me and worries if I have clean hands.
So pleased to hear the migraines are coming under control, they really are the most beastly things and you have to suffer them to understand just how debilitating they can be.
Both of these tangles are stunning, every time I look at one you have done I marvel at the hours of patience and concentration it must take.

Two stunning cards...I say this every time, but I really believe that you found your speciality with the tangles. (Do you follow Pinterest Paula? I only ask because I often see Tangle designs on there.)
Love the petal shapes and the intricate designs, the delicates shades only add to their beauty.

Wow! I love the way you rendered a different pattern in each of the petals. The final piece reminds me of a hand made quilt that my wife and I got from her grandmother. Glad to hear you are feeling better. Have a blessed Resurrection Sunday celebration.
