Tango Tangling

We have reached our 10th Challenge (now on a monthly basis)  for the Chocolate Baroque Zentangle Group. This month the challenge consists of only using two tangles for a tile.

I used TanglePatterns String 001 & varied both the size & infill pattern of the tangle Tripoli.

tangles: Purk, Tripoli

Wishing you all a Happy New Year

Hello Paula.

First of all Happy New Year.

I have been a rather bad blogger of late, no excuse really for neglecting everyone other than a new puppy and many mouths to feed over Christmas.

On the doggy front you are right that there are now seven, although not as hectic as it might seem.

Daisy, Poppy and Holly are our dogs, then Lily (Daisy's sister) and Pixie are our daughters who lives in our old house. Since my MS got bad the big house was too much so we are granny and granddad in the garden now in a new bungalow with our youngest offsping.

Bernie and George belong to one of our sons but he now has his own house so they moved out, although are frequent 'house guests' when he is away working or running.

So add the horses, chickens and so on and it's quite a Noah's Ark, but wouldn't have it any other way.

I am loving the zentangle you have shared today, the black and white looks so slick and elegant and so clever how you have graduated the patterns.

Gosh is it that time again already - have to get organised. I really like the variations in size of the Trpoli amd the various infils too. The Purk in the centre really stands out - brilliant. Happy New Year

Hi Paula

Sorry not to have been in touch for a while. Just been browsing your tangles - love them all! There's so much dimension in this one - love the drop shape in the middle (not sure of the pattern name). This really is a work of art.

Hope you've had a wonderful New Year's Day.

Hugs

Really great dimension in the tangles Paula, I especially like the way that you have graduated the tripoli pattern to achieve so much depth and the purk droplet looks ready to roll away if it was not resting on the cushioned background. A super tile, I will have to wait unt the end of January to join in as I can't upload photos at the moment . Lots of time to tangle though!

Paula you are continuing into this new year with another awe inspiring design! You are a magician at making these patterns take on phenomenal dimension and movement. Wishing you "tangles" of good wishes for 2013!

I love it! By varying the size of your infill you created so much more depth and volume to your tile. It looks like a jewel sitting on a pillow. Blessings!

beautiful work, paula! i still can't do tripoli- so i'm jealous. :) in a good way. purk is still one of my favorites!

sorry to hear you took a fall on the pavement. are you alright? do you know why it happened? i feel a little better this morning with all the strong meds i got yesterday. i ate some dinner last night, that was strange, after going so long with no food. i dropped 10 pounds, which i happy with, but definitely not the way to do it. i hope you're feeling better! that sounds scary.
