MCC All About Zentangle - Wk 4 Final Project

Links: MCC (My Creative Classroom), Marie Browning

Marie finished the course by providing instructions for making a Tangle Board - a Zentangle decorated board with a clip forming a hard surface upon which to lean when tangling whilst travelling. I've not been able to find a suitable board but thought that I'd make a large rectangular (just under 10 x 7 inches)  Zentangle Inspired Artwork anyway & to ensure I used the remaining patterns for which Marie had given us intructions.

tangles: Barberpole, Cadox, Hollibaugh, Jester, Meer, Nekton, Purk
Scrolls, Socc, Spinning, Verdigogh, Wartz, W2

I decided to decorate the central area with my initials (using chipboard letters to draw round) filled with the tangle Socc by Erin Olson that Laura Harms set for her challenge this week.

Love this Paula! :) That frilly edging looks so realistic! :)

Brilliant, intricate and mesmerising, this would have made a fabulous (albeit distracting) board! :) Stunning!

This is so beautiful Paula, love the ribbon and scroll effect at the bottom and Verdigogh at the top is stunning, in fact the whole thing is a work of art. You have achieved so much depth to the page with your shading.
I have been looking for a clipboard for a while as well, finding something to decorate is hard as they all tend to be plastic, will let you know if I find anything.

I'm sorry I've been such a bad visitor lately Paula, but really appreciate your visits to me which are so kind.

Your artwork on this piece is totally amazing and the intricacy just beyond my comprehension of patience.

I also really like your piece for week 4, the fact it has a tree and beautiful shading ticks so many boxes for me.

This is absolutely amazing and such precision in your various tangles. I love the mix of curvy and grid designs with the shading which really brings them to life. The ancient scroll/torn effect bottom right appeals to me - an interesting touch. I do hope you find a suitable clip board for this.

I just had a quick scroll down your page Paula, you really have grasped the 'tangles' and your work is stunning! I doubt I would have the patience to do such detailed work to produce the stunning results you have shared with us. Looking forward to seeing more of them.

The precision required to create this type of artwork is obviously your forte Paula because this is an amazing piece of artwork. I have to confess I'm not a particular fan of this form of art but your skill leaves me open mouthed in awe. My hand would never be steady enough to produce such exact strokes although I think it would probably be very therapeutic to lose yourself in it's creation. Well done Paula, you have a rare talent for this.
